- Initial 2010 Reunion Mailing
Reunion Meeting
March 11, 2009
We had a reunion committee meeting on March 11, 2009. Attending were Marion Cashell, Scotty O'Hara, Doug Collins, Mike Clark and Bruce White.
We discussed whether to have two reunions again. The consensus was, that with the 50th Reunion not that far away that is the one that should be our "big blow out" reunion, so a single reunion in Delaware, casual style is probably the direction we are headed for our 45th.
The survey results from the web site with 52 responses showed, 87% interesting in attending our next reunion, 81% preferred to have the event over a 1 or 2 day period, not a Vacation/Reunion, and it was exactly a 50-50 split on the importance of location of the next reunion, the important point was seeing old friends.
We are looking into printing a booklet, complete with classmate pictures, history, etc. so we will be asking everyone to send current pictures of themselves along with a brief history of what they have done since graduating from MPHS. We did get some preliminary costs that could require us to charge a nominal fee for the book, but we are still looking into the costs.
We are in the process of drafting our Announcement letter and hope to have that out soon....

All the letters and postcards were printed. The primary purpose of the meeting was to get any address updates the committee found and stuff and label envelopes for mailing.

All the mail went out on 5/30/09.
Reunion Meeting
September 24, 2009
We had reuion committee meeting on September 24, 2009. Attending were Marion Cashell, Bill Talbot, Bruce Hamilton, Amy Thomas, and Bruce White.
We discussed potential locations for our reunion and whether to have more than a one day event.
Committee members each took on assignments of checking local facilites for availability. One of the key goals was to maintain a reasonable price structure and budget.
We planned a follow-up meeting to go over the results of our searches.
Reunion Meeting
November 2, 2009
We had reunion committee meeting on November 2, 2009. Attending were Marion Cashell, Bill Talbot, Bruce Hamilton, Jane Sklut, and Bruce White.
We discussed the results of our searches for reunion location. We also continued our discussion on whether to have more than a one day event.
The concensus was to have a "Welcome" cocktail "hour" at a local facility on Friday night and a primary event on Saturday with entertainment, cocktail hour, and dinner.
We were able to agree on the location for our primary event on Saturday. We decided on The Waterfall in Claymont (this was the old Brandywine Terrace). The facility has been totally redone and the pricing was reasonable. We decided to continue narrow our search for sites for a Friday night cocktail "hour" and go over the results at our next meeting.
Reunion Meeting
January 20, 2010
Marion and I met on January 20, 2010, to quickly go over the actions taken from our last meeting. Basically confirming Menus, Hotel Accomodations, and Our Expenses (we will be down to our last couple hundred dollars after our next mailing).
Marion is head to Florida, I will hopefully have an envelope stuffing meeting in early February.
Everything is on schedule, our next steps will be to begin processing the reservation forms that should begin to come back to us soon after the mailing goes out in mid-February.
